The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Posse

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Posse is comprised of people from all walks of life who want to give back to their community. While not compensated, the volunteers perform an invaluable service to the community. The program is also a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in exploring a career path in law enforcement. Posse volunteer personnel are trained in a variety of essential support functions, including Search and Rescue, Crime Scene Security, Patrol Support, Administrative Support, Civic Functions, Disaster Relief and Emergency Response.

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • A legal U.S. resident

  • Have a valid driver's license

  • Be in good health
