Opt-in for Notification

As a victim of a crime, you have the right to be notified of the release of the defendant in your case. This right is guaranteed in the Arizona Constitution, Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights, Article II, Section 2.1.

To Register (Opt In)

  • Call the MCSO Victim Assistance & Notification Unit at 602-876-8276

  • We make notification calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays  Our Phone # will not appear on Caller ID.

  • If we’re busy assisting other victims when you call, please leave a message with your name, the defendants’ name,  your telephone number, and the Jail Booking #, if possible

  • We will return your call as soon as possible

It’s important to keep your contact information current.

  • We know in many situations, telephone numbers as well as mailing addresses can change following an incident

  • Please call and verify that the contact information we have for you is accurate and up-to-date

  • Your privacy is important to us!

  • We will only share your personal information with Pre-Trial Services in conjunction with a court ordered supervised release to include electronic monitoring to ensure your safety.

  • If you wish to update your contact information with a specific agency, please contact them directly

Please note:

When a defendant is being processed for Release, we will call you with an approximate time of release, reason for the release, and the conditions of the release.

To obtain custody status regarding a Defendant in your case that has been transferred to the Arizona Department of Corrections (and to register with their Victim Notification Program), please call 602-542-1853 or 1-888-787-7233.
